This is my first longboard. I've been a skater since the early 80's and of course this board has been super fun for me. However I really bought this board for my wife and kids to both learn balance and to enjoy.Since it longer than a regular skateboard its much easier to balance on and therefore much more fun to ride. And the wheels are much larger and softer, this allows you to ride over most rocks that would normally send you flying off the board. So it's pretty near the perfect board for people who dont normally skate, and perfect for those who do but just want to cruse. In just a few pushes you can cruse about 4x the distance of a normal skateboard. So you can go much faster with way less work. And as an added bonus you get a bottle opener built into the board. Although when I opened a bottle in the house it did spill quite a bit, since you have to hold the bottle perpendicular to the board when using it. I'm sure there...
